I had these too, never found out what they were. My powder blue tang however eats them like candy lol
Hi can someone help me identity these little bugs in my tank. I literally have hundreds of the small little pests.
Thanks for the info, I recently lost my six line wrasse and I’m wondering if I’ve had these critters for long time and just never noticed it. Maybe my wrasse kept them in check. I also have a blue tang, will watch to see if he eats them. Thanks for your speedy reply.I had these too, never found out what they were. My powder blue tang however eats them like candy lol
Youre welcome! I determined they were not harmful, never saw them anywhere but the glass and thats very possible he was eating themThanks for the info, I recently lost my six line wrasse and I’m wondering if I’ve had these critters for long time and just never noticed it. These loom similar to mine and I dont think they were pods, unless its a weird kind. Some of mine were huge and long, others were small!Without seeing them close up im gonna assume they are copepods.
They look to be copepods. I have a lot of smaller fish (gobies, etc..) and they would make short work of them.

These are the common munnid isopod. You need these in your tank for it to "be all it can be". Corals eat these. Fish eat these. They clean up your tank.
This is a male
This is a female
Male and female.... ummmm..... "talking".
This is two males fighting over a woman
Don't hate a whole group of critters, when there is only the rare odd one that is harmful..... seems that's true of a lot of things in the world that is going on right now.
