Hello all! It’s been six months since I brought little friend, I was told this to be a mini carpet anemone.
Then I figured out that there is no mini carpet, but mini maxi carpet nem.
But as you can see it is very small, it feeds on shrimp, and loves to move around the rock. But it never grows!! IDK why, and I want to know if I can propagate this nem.
Also, how can I find similar species like this?

Thank you and have a nice day :)

The size is like only 1inch and won’t grow up.
Other Mini Maxis I found online were twice bigger than that. Is stressed out maybe? I want to make sure he is OK.

Hello,

Yes, it is a maxi mini carpet nem....red/pink and isnt seen a whole lot these days, that color specifically. I have a whole bunch of these in my tank, yours looks fine. They typically don't get very big and don't grow to fast. I have a few that have reached about 3" maybe 4" across before splitting. Mine usually split before that which is why i have so many. They are also very hardy little guys and don't bother other corals really. I've had a few go through my mp10s and survive.

Oh wow thanks for the reply!
So.. I won’t have to split them in half with blade! That’s good.
Also ould you mind if I ask you to share some picture of your mm nem please?
I want to know how they look like when grown up.
+ how long did it take for yours to grow and what how did you care them(food, light, etc).

My pleasure :)
I wouldn't recommend using a blade on any nem, let them split naturally.
I am unable to do pics at this time but imagine yours an inch or two bigger and thats what it looks like grown up, haha.
The biggest one which hasn't split yet is about 4" across and ive had it about a year. All the others have split at least once, some more.
I feed them directly once a week with a small piece of raw shrimp.
They seem to settle in the 80-120 par range for light which is on the lowest rock work in my tank.
