Im buying this uv sterilizer for my 36 gallons display tank and 18 gallon sump. And was wondering what pump i need for jf? Brs live chat is closed today.

And thats the pump list. Not sure what pump i need for it? Im new to this.

Which one do i need? Im battling dinos, and cyanos.

First - that sterilizer is way overkill for your tank. I would go with something like this instead (which is good for up to about 75 gallons).


In terms of the pump - this is all you need:


This is the hanging variant of the Advantage 2000 sterilizer - they also make a barbed version if that works better for your setup. Hope this helps!

First - that sterilizer is way overkill for your tank. I would go with something like this instead (which is good for up to about 75 gallons).

Yes but that hang on the back where do i place it in the sump?

I have the barbed vesion on my reefer 170 about 40g total. It seems to be doing its job. I connected it into my return plumbing.

What about the one i linked in my last post whats the diffference
Stick with AquaUltraviolet. They're really good UVs and will serve you well. Pickup a spare bulb as well. Yes, the pump I linked will work with the Advantage 2000 UV (barbed or hanging). You'll just need some silicone (etc.) tubing that you can get at Home Depot, etc.
