I have a green star that has been closed for 3 weeks after high nitrate episode. Can any one tell me if he is no longer a live please? Only little white dots no extention.

Don't worry about it. If water parameters and everything is good, it will be fine. They are sensitive to movement IME so the more you touch it, the longer it'll take to come back out.

I had nitrates over 200 at one point and the GSP had no issue with it.

Currently I blast it with flow and high par to try and burn it to death and blast it away. Nothing kills it. It's an immortal weed spawned by the devil

GSP can close up for like a week because it “feels” like it. Then one day open back up just because lol.

I agree with the above posts. It would be impressive if you killed it.

Let your phosphates get to .5 (complete accident) and GSP will die - I killed a huge patch of Metallic GSP and regular GSP when my phosphates got out of control. Might've been the ALK also as it got up to just shy of 15 around the same time.

Lol. Them and Xenia are like weeds. You have to try to kill them. Otherwise they will be fine.

Why not start by posting your actual water parameters? By doing that, we can determine if intervention is required .

Up until now, there has only been guessing.
