A few years ago my brother was brutally murdered. My brother hated alcohol and this person forced him to drink shots of hard liquor only to shoot him in the face with a pistol at point blank range.
I have started a petition to keep him locked up for his full sentence rather than the prison system letting him out early to "save taxpayer money."

He does not deserve freedom and our family is still suffering our loss. Jacob, my brother, was only 20 years old. He was a lifeguard, a chef, a musician, and a Good Samaritan. He went out of his way for the good of others and always let himself go without if it meant making someone's day.

Nobody should ever have to loose their life, especially when all they did was help others. My brother was an amazing person who looked up to me as I looked up to him.

Is there a news article out there on the crime and the release from prison? I am not sure a petition is going to do much for the case, but if there is no news article out there, I would suggest raising awareness locally and get a news team on the story. This can end up changing the outcome of parole hearings if there is enough community support for your side.

Also if you have links, add them here. More people would jump in and sign your petition if they had more info on what happened from a news source.

Sorry for your loss and I hope you have an effect on the hearing.

I'm trying to contact the news on this. It was in our paper when it happened but we live in a small town. Not much press presence. However each signature gets emailed straight to the judge, prosecutor, and clerk.

I can however give you a link to my brothers memorial Facebook page which shows you what kind of person he was, and how many people were devastated by the tragedy.
