FWIW here are things that might do the trick:
1.Blast all surfaces with water from your hose.
2. Spray with Hydrogen peroxide
3. If you have strong sunlight in your area, leave the out for a week rotating it to ensure as much surface area is exposed to the Sun's UV light. UV will breakdown many organic compounds.
Building a new structure not only is a loss of your personal creativity but has a financial aspect as well. Test some of the rock you feel had direct exposure afterwards in a large enough container with fresh water, a bubbler and a few inexpensive snails and feeder shrimp. If after a number of days or a week all is well you have an answer.
