Help skimmer pump change

Hi. I havethe RO xp1000 int with the bubble blaster hy1000. That thing is a beast but now the pump is broken and i realize the impeller is cr ap. Do you know if it is possible replace this one with a best built pump such an eheim?

If the pump sits outside the skimmer they are replaceable, you just might need to tinker around with fittings to get them to line up.

Yes. It is outside. 1/2 inch fittings. Any advise on a good energy efficient pump?

just change the impeller. the bubble blasters are good. or go to a larger pump like the 2000. but look at what skimmer pumps cost and you will see you already have one of the best. sicce makes a good pump as well if you have to change.
