Name them whatever you want. The markets flooded. Names are usually provided by the culturist who took the time to farm the piece in captivity. Applying any of those to yours isn't how it works.

Agree that too many names have been given, even to the same acro but it does help to give a 'id' to the coral. Easier for reefers to discuss and generate interest rather than to say green based tenuis with pink coralite, purple based tenuis with red polpys etc etc.

That's why I said call them whatever you want. If you put in the work to grow them out, frag them, and share them with the community then you've earned that right. You can't call them someone else's product. More goes into it than just a name.

But its not SBB Pinky and The Brain.
IMO just because something looks like it, you can't "ID" it as that.

A long time ago I remember some reefers talking about how many beautiful corals were to be found in the wild. The discussion came with a remark along the lines; "Some of the tricolored tenuis are amazing too!."

It's still true. Good luck growing these out.

They’re tenuis. Call them Alypapa whatevers. They appear to be mini mariculture colonies, is that correct? Or did you grow them out from frags?

If MC colonies, what until they’re really colored up, and then determine if they resemble any of the “named” pieces.

I have several mariculture Indo colonies. Many will change color over time. Once they get bigger you may see a resemblance to named corals.
