Been quite a few posts lately about these little fellas. So I'm about to take apart my overflow and start crushing... After I drained the water I was thinking instead of disassembling everything can I just leave the compartment dry for the day and would that kill them?

The worst pest ever, I recently broke down my whole reef because of these buggers. Make sure you clean out that overflow good.

I was gonna try and be a little lazy and let them suffocate in the dry overflow all day... Wile I do my maintenance. But I don't know ow if it works that way. I'm crushing as we type

I would try not to obsess. Definitely not the worst thing that could happen to a reef, even if they are irritating.

I wouldn't count on a dry spell unless you can make it several hours long....I can't imagine these guys being such a pest and not being able to survive low-tide.
