Hello everyone, yesterday I had a bleaching problem with this acropora. As a background, I had dinoflagellate problems, which have apparently disappeared today. My intention was to cut off the small white part and dip it with the Aquaforest product (which I did). A couple of hours later, most of the tissue was already detached.

I checked that the Aquaforest dip expires in August 2024. Could this be the cause of the coral's stress and death?

Parameters:

Kh: 8.5 - 9
Ca: 400
Mg: 1300
No3: 18
Po4: 0.28
Salinity: 35 ppm

Was this a smooth skin Acrpora. If so smooth skin Acrpora react poorly to dips. If not a smooth skin the coral was likely past the point of salvage. I doubt the expiration date played a part.
