Possibly Ulva? It may have been in with your Chaeto and just went unnoticed

Thank you very much. It has been driving me crazy trying to figure out what it is or what to do with it. Now that it is ID'd I can figure out how to remove it.

Its a great nutrient export and i think some fish will eat it. Unless its getting into the DT, i wouldnt worry too much

You are right. I see that it is being sold as a macro algae; http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/2598/?pcatid=2598. My tangs probably keep the display tank cleaned; it is, however, growing on the top of my returns. It was acting like a nuisance algae; I cleaned my sump a few months ago, but must have missed a piece, because it is already spreading quickly.
