Help with Dinos

Hello everyone,

I’ve been having a problem with dinos. I recently tested my phosphate and nitrate and they were both 0. I went out of town for a week and while I was gone I set up an automatic feeder and doubled my feeding schedule. I’m feeding 4 times a day now. When I got back my tank was covered and my tests are still coming back 0. I did order neophos and neonitro but haven’t started dosing yet. I’ve attached pictures of the tank, food and tests.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to get this under control. I plan on starting dosing today. Thanks!

The API phosphate test gives a range from zero to .25. My phosphate is .1 which just can't be measured on the API test. The very best phosphate tester is the Hanna tester. The API nitrate tester often shows zero. I would suggest a Salifert or Hanna tester for nitrate.

First good get test kits before dosing anything, those API tests will steer you wrong.

Thanks! Just ordered the Hanna testers. I’ll update in a few days when they come in.

I was thinking of dosing microbacter7 in the meantime. Do you think that’s worth a try or should I wait until I test?
