I need to treat a QT with copper for a new fish which I know has come from a Marine Ich managed tank.
Unfortunately in Australia, there aren't many treatment options available without a vet, so things like Copper Power etc are out.
There is one treatment, which contains 25,000ppm copper (that's all the info they give apart than the level needs to maintained between 0.10 and 0.20 ppm).
Jay Hemdall suggests that 0.18 to 0.22 would be the appropriate therapeutic range as he believes it to be copper suphate based.
If someone could help out with how much of the product is required to raise 100l of water by 0.10ppm it would help a lot. I think about 250ul (0.25ml) but I'd hate to OD the fish.
Unfortunately it looks like the Hanna HR copper is useless at this range with its error of +-0.05ppm so I'm flying blind until I can get a more accurate test kit. The LR copper does not work with salt water :-(
