If it is floppy and folds over on itself, then it is bryopsis. If it is firm, them it's something else. Sorry I don't know what it is, but I have the firm kind in my tank and it is very slow growing and doesn't hurt anything.

Accelerated form of green hair algae becoming bryopsis
My best defense has been removing by hand and treating with Vibrant liquid

Isn't green hair hair algae a different species than bryopsis? How would it change species like thay?
It’s not transformed. It bryopsis. Meant its above green hair, this type is stubborn
