I just received this as a gift. But either it’s not working or I did something wrong. I have a solid blue light on a controller. It’s not flashing. I have double checked everything nothing is clogged or appears to be broken. However, the foamer/pump is not on, Or does not appear to be on, since there is no humming no vibration no movement. Could I have a defective foamer? Or since there is a solid blue light would it be a defective controller? If anyone has some help and insight it would be great.I was really excited to get this gift and now very frustrated. Maybe I’m just doing something wrong?

Have you tried the pump outside the skimmer? You want to be sure the impeller is not jammed (should remove easily), and the most likely issue is the pump is working but the air hose is kinked or the impeller cover that delivers air to the pump is not connected, in that case the pump will run but you won't have much movement as there are no bubbles being produced. Try the pump stand alone with water inside the impeller well (otherwise it will detect a dry run and stop) and try pressing the clean cup button as well just in case this was activated and paused the skimmer. I received your emails as well, all roads lead to me, I am the only US support.

Oh, thank you for taking the time to respond in this forum. I have take the pump and ran it in water separate from the unit but it did not turn on. I also checked the impeller for any styrofoam or plastic that may have been in there but it was clean and freely spins. I did press the clean button and when I did so the blue light went out. Then when pressed again the blue light came back on but the pump did nothing. I also left it in the water for 30min in case somehow an airlock was created when I first tried it, and it triggered the dry run safety stop but again this did nothing.

The next thing I’m going to try is to put a meter on the output of the control box to make sure that power is coming out of there to the pump. I assume the power output will very depending on the setting of the blue lighted knob. I just wanna see if there’s any power coming out of it at all. I just need to go borrow my friends meter.

I just realized I can’t test the output from the controller because that’s hardwired. I will, however, test the output from the adapter and see if it’s indeed 12 V coming out of there.

Definitely has 12v coming out of adapter so the power is working to the controller

Can I get a photo of the serial number tag as well as the controller board? The controller opens and the pump unplugs inside but I would not test as the risk of shorting is high, it is not straightforward there is a 2 way power between pump and controller 4 wires. We just need to determine if it is motor or controller

This?
Sorry, I would reply via the support email I sent, but I never received a reply. I hope it’s OK to post this here.

All roads lead to me so I answered here instead of the email. I was looking for a photo of the controller circuit board, you would open it, the manual shows how as the pump unplugs inside and if you wanted to pass the cable through a small opening this is how it would be done.

Ohhh, I will open in a bit. Have a meeting then free again.

It was very simple to open, so I just did it real quick. Do you want me to unplug that? And then test it, but I’m not sure which the positive and negative leads are.

It almost looks like there is a screw missing here? But even if it is that should not affect it running.

They generally only use the center screw hole, the board is not under much strain and that would not affect the operation, it is the motor and we will get one out tomorrow.

Wow, Tunze customer service is 2nd to none. I really appreciate it.
