Hi I’m having trouble keeping pH at 8.1-8.3 without use of CO2 scrubber 24/7.
So during day it’s 8.2-8.25 during day and at night, huge drop to 7.8-8 WITH CO2 scrubber on all day.
Without it then during day 7.7-7.8
At night 7.5-7.7
So I know consistently is what matters and wondering if using CO2 scrubber and skimmer on 24/7 is a bad thing.
My reading with Hanna checkers are
Tested last night with 3 testing each to get a middle reading

Calcium 420
Mag ( haven’t brought one yet )
Ph 8 ( at night testing )
Phos 0.005
Nitrate ( keep forgetting to grab one )
but I do have seneye monitor so the reading for it says
11.34 ppb
Ammonia 0.016 but when skimming then drops to 0.010-0.006
I do heavy feeding with Red Sea A&B and reefroids and brine shrimp.
No dry food
I dose tropic Marin all in one but haven’t dose last 2 days and topped up fresh saltwater before testing because had huge shipment of corals arrive and I had to take some DT water to dip and etc so I used about 5 gallons and replaced 5 fresh saltwater
Pictures attached was day before yesterday and I rearranged
Tank is almost 2 month old
I run alage reactor and refugium
My refugium cheato growing with huge difference and growing hair algae and etc in there so far but none in my DT except little brown algae in dry rocks that I have.
please let me know if I’m doing anything wrong or if I’m doing something right that way I know to continue otherwise I’m going to change things up.
