I am going to start dosing NOPOX but I don't know where it start. I have a pretty bad green hair algae(GHA) outbreak from phosphate leaching from the dead organic matter from my Pukani. I soaked the pukani for a month but I guess that wasn't enough. When I test my No3/Po4 they both test at 0 but I know that has to be a false positive from the GHA. I am also running GFO but I know NOPOX states to stop that but I really want to get rid of all the phosphate and have heard people have success running both. Any information would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I'd start following their directions and use 1-2 mL per gallon of tank water (you'll have to pick how aggressive you want to be):

Unless something unexpected happens sooner (like visible bacteria), I'd stick to that for at least a couple of weeks and observe. It can take a while to see effects. :)
Thanks for the information, I would really like to see this GHA disappear. I have been trying to blow the rocks off and do water changes frequently. If the NOPOX works as well as some are saying maybe I can use it solely and discontinue the GFO.
