Help with snowflake eel!!!!

Hello, I got a snowflake eel from my lfs a month and a half ago and he has been eating amazing!! And then today when I went to feed him he wouldn't eat which I thought was weird because he always eats when I offer... then I came home today and he was fine and looked happy so I didn't sweat it to much and then when I got out of the shower he was lying on his side on top of some rocks motionless and so I was kinda freaking out so I poked him and he didn't move so I thought he had passed but the I moved him and he was still breathing does anyone know what's wrong?!?!??!?!?! Please help!!!

He unfortunately passed last night but I couldn't test my water and no his eyes were fine and he didn't have any bruises or marks

I’ve had similar experience with snowflakes before. I’ve heard they can get food impactions. Not sure if that’s what happened.

He hadn't eaten for a couple days before I tried to feed him yesterday but i only fed him shrimp because he is in a reef tank so I didn't want to feed him ss just incase
