Hi all,

I'm looking for some feedback on my stocking plan. My goal for fish is to mostly have easy to care for fish that don't eat each other. Bonus if they do something useful like cleaning up algae, sifting sand, etc.

Approximate order of addition:
2 ocellaris clowns (I already have these two)
1 firefish
1-3 lyretail anthias (no more than 1 male)
1-2 tangs (I love yellow tangs, but I'm open to suggestions for tang species)

Added as the tank can support their diet:
1 midas blenny
1 pink scooter blenny or mandarin
1 sand sifting goby of some kind, probably diamond back
1 lawnmower blenny

Am I missing anything? Is there anything on here I should avoid?

Any feedback at all would be appreciated.

Thanks!!
Brett

Here is how i stocked my tank (similar size!) back when I set it up. I have been very happy with how it progressed.

Currently, the tank is still FOWLR but I will be adding in all my coral (kept by my LFS) next month.

I was worried it was over-stocked but so far so good; everyone is happy! It depends on habitat and feeding routines obviously, but we're doing very well indeed.

2 x Common Clown Fish
1 x Timor Wrasse
1 x Lawnmower Blenny
1 x One-spot Foxface Rabbit Fish
1 x Pink-spotted Watchman Goby
1 x Blue sided fairy wrasse
1 x Coral Beauty
1 x Cherub Angle Fish
6 x Lyretail Anthias (since lost one!)
1 x Bengali Cardinal Fish
1 x Bicolor Blenny
1 x Purple Fire fish
1 x Long Nose Hawk Fish
1 x Royal Gramma
2 x Mandarin Goby
1 x Blue Regal Tang
1 x Yellow Tail Purple Tang
1 x Bristletooth Tomini Tang
1 x Australian Stripey

I added the last fish (the stripey!) back in January of this year.

That's a lot of fish!

My primary interest is in coral. I like fish and all, but I just don't want that many fi that makes sense. Should I be thinking about more that I'm planning for?

I like coral too- that's the main point of having a reef tank in my opinion- and it is a lot of fish! Was I doing it again, i wouldn't have gone with the anthias- they were somewhat of an impulse buy and not a part of the plan :)

The cherub angle was an impulse buy as well and we couldn't agree between the blue and purple tang so we went for both...

So far so good, all in all a fairly harmonious tank that we have with the foxface being the absolute boss in there! He's a beast allright!
