I’m moving everything from a 11 gallon nano to a 20 gallon nano and would like a little help with moving my sand bed. Should I throw it down first and then add new sand on top of it or should I mix it in with the new sand? Thanks in advance for any help.

Depends on how old is the old sand. 5+ yrs then just throw it away and start fresh.

i will be breaking down my 5yr old setup for home remodeling.. will start everything back fresh but will keep a couple of the old rocks.
