Help! Yellow Tang with “lipstick” mark?

Whether its 2 inches or 9", its a bite mark likely and of what the OP wanted to know what the mark was.

ridiculous. EDIT - MEANING -If the tang biting was 2 inches it would not make the same mark on a 9 inch tang - as a 9 inch tang making a bite on a nine inch tang
