Helloo, first time changing me tank from a 13 to a 20 gallon. Everything is in check when I comes to my master saltwater text and my reef test. My skimmer is eliminating a lot of water and I'm adding in freshwater in to lower the salinity but it just keeps lowering my water level. What do I do??

Forgot I can do that. My last skimmer didn't work. But I bought the premade saltwater and I didn't think to check the salinity before hand so now my tank is at 0.030. What should I doo??

Are any critters in the tank?

I would do 1 gallon changes every hour until you are at your target range....(assuming you have live stock in tank)

Should I turn off all me media and just let it do it's thingg??? I'm not sure

Is the skimmer overflowing into the cup? How are you measuring salinity?

keep it all on except skimmer and bring it done in one go since you have no livestock.....and then skimmer on and adjust
My skimmer is built into my filter. Should I just get a whole new filter?? It's the topfin 20 gallon hex tank. So I don't have much room for media to br all separate. I also have 6 cats in the house so I can't really go topless either. Any suggestions

Drop your salinity in one go,,...keep it all on and wait for clarity to clear (could take 24 hours)....just let it do its thing......tweak the skimmer to almost off....I dont know how to do in the HOB all in one filter/skimmer
