Hermit crab and emerald crab

hi i would like to get help about those 2 i find my hermit crabs moving around without shell and dying and find a emerald crab dead on my sand bed someone can help me identify trouble i have a red sea reefer 350 with 2 wav powerhead
6 damsel yellow belly
15 hermit crab
5 turbo snail
2 emerald crab
1 serpent star
All tank parameter is good ph is 8.2
Temps 25 celsius
Amm nitrite nitrate fine
Phosphate fine
Calcium fine

How old is the tank? As far as water parameters do you have the exact numbers? Specifically salinity ammonia, nitrite and nitrates

youll need more shells for the hermits, and do make sure they're not molts. Emeralds are big animals and need a lot of food. You can spot feed them. Im not big on recommending them as cuc because of this. Plus im not alwas sure they are handled correctly. A lil hermit is little so folks toss em in a bag without much regard. an emerald is a bigger animal and don't respond that well to that treatment IMO, and subsequently a lot of them die when we get them.

I just got an emerald crab. Little bugger latched straight on a coral as he fell and started doing the hand motion like he is eating something on it. Googled it and other people said some times they go rogue and eat corals. Now in a panic in under five minutes I've set him in the refugium....
