I bought a bunch of hermits at the pet store, girl had a marine degree, came across a hermit she didnt know, told me it wasnt one they sold and freebied it, cool little guy, whitish/brownish legs, but eyes and feelers are like electric blue. Both claws are same size, i know there are blue eyed hermits, but he doesnt quite look like the photos ive seen. Ill get a photo later, i just had him out but hes back in the rock somewhere.

maybe dwarf zebra hermit with low black marking
That crossed my mind, im stumped. I have 2 other zebras and they are very vibrant, i dont know, just never saw one like him, and the girl at the pet store said it wasnt one they sold. He just looks cool as hell and i was trying to figure out what exactly he was.

the problem is it could be a juvenile of a hermit that is either a corallivore or other hermit crab eater. Probably just another reef safe little guy, give them identical looking but larger shells and see how big it gets.
I find certain hermit species only like certain shells, ceriths (like yours is in) seem to be a favorite of little guys like dwarf blue, and zebra. scarlets like these specific weird shaped shell that is harder to come across but also accept conchs sometimes, halloweens always conchs, etc

So far he hasn't touched my corals, i enjoy hermits, i think i have too many, lol. I want a couple halloween hermits, and an anemone, but i think im outta room in my 30 gallon for anymore hermits...i have 10 or 11. Been looking at a bigger tank but i have to get out of the apartment im in before i can.

I should have like 20-30 in my 80 gallon cant remember. I do replenish after awhile though. My abalone and urchins are the true work workhorses of the cleanup crew (along with tang and lawnmower blenny)
