Hermit Crab info please

What is the differnece between red and blue hermits. Liveaquaria says exactly the same but sone reefers before one over the other so im trying to figure out if its personal preference or is there some scientific difference?

A lot of people say that the blue legs are a spawn of satan, because they are sometimes opportunist eaters while the scarlets are almost never found eating anything they shouldn't. I personally have about 70-80 blue legs, 2 scarlets, and maybe 5 mexican red legs. Other than the blues sometimes killing one another for their shell once in a blue moon (even though I have 30 extra shells...) I have never had any issues with any type.
