I currently have a well established Fluval Evo 13.5 with 2 occelaris clowns, 1 yellow clown goby, 4 snails, 1 and fighting conch with a couple corals. Would I be able to safely add a couple hermits to my setup?

Hermits are likely to kill the snails at some point. If not for food, then for the shell. Even if you put in extra empty shells they may prefer THAT shell belonging to your snail.
