I just added my first Halloween and Blue Legged Hermit Crabs.
I was just wondering if they out grow their shells or do they always stay in them.

Hermits need access to bigger shells as they grow, they will not stay in one shell as they grow:)

My experience with Blue Legged Hermit Crabs are that they not only outgrow their shells, but will also kill snails to try that shell on even if they don't decide to take it over.:)

Halloweens only live in shells with narrow openings so youll have to eventually get a cone snail shells for it when it outgrows its current one. They also live in conch shells.
