Hey gang,
Now and again, we work with a coral that, despite our familiarity with it from a "farming" standpoint (i.e.; we know its light and flow requirements, etc.), remains an enigma to us in terms of identification. Case in point is this cool Acropora. We love this coral - we just aren't 100% certain what it is!
It seems similar in some respects to Acropora granulosa, and also to Acropora jacquelinae, or even Acropora batunai...Or does it? Grr...
We're going to be offering this one tomorrow as..."Acropora sp."
That is, unless one of you brilliant coral geeks can come up with a positive ID on it! Your help would be greatly appreciated...And, of course, will not go unrecognized! I do need to know by tomorrow, so time is of the essence, Acropora gurus! Also, if we can't be 100% confident, we'll still list it as "Acropora sp.", so please don't take offense...We always figure it's best to say "I don't know" than to list it incorrectly. Hope you can appreciate that.
Thanks!
Scott
