Question.... I started tank on April 5th 30 + days ago put piece of uncooked shrimp in which I removed a week ago so at about the 25 or 28th day mark I also used micro bacteria quick starter. My ammonia is still off the chart.

Can I have suggestions on what to do. I stared a fresh water at same time and it's fine. I actually have fish in that one same size.

Did you use any other bacteria or live rock? Or just the microbacter?

Did you add the bacteria when you added the shrimp or when you removed it? A bit confused on the timeline sorry :)
Have you done any water changes etc? Has there been ANY change in nitrates?
If your nitrates are increasing, it's eating away at the ammonia, just going to take a hot minute.
