This is our new(ish) 125 gal. We got it in July. We upgraded from a 15 nano

. it was quite the adventure getting the sump set up but my husband persevered and got it done! We eventually want to finish painting and add doors. It’s stocked with 2 urchins, a flame hawk, black/white clown, yellow tang, and midas blenny. We recently added a cleaner shrimp and 2 ninja star snails.

There’s just something about sitting and watching all the different fish and critters interact. If you would have told me a few years ago fish have personality i would have thought you were crazy, but they are hilarious! I love aquascaping, learning about the ocean,fish, etc. and relaxing in front of our tanks. It’s so peaceful!

we also have a 32 gal all in one! It was fully stocked but there’s a killer clown in it so she’s been put it isolation and it’s just her, an urchin, turbo/nessarius snails and a giant emerald crab.

What is your favorite thing about reefing?
How long have you been in the hobby?
What would you recommend adding to our 125? We would love a mandarin goby!!

From 15gal to 125gal is a big upgrade. I could imagine the tank will go through "the ugly phase" even if you used some rocks from your previous tank to cycle it fast. So if the next months will be full of nasty algae growth, don't worry, it will pass

a mandarin goby would be great in a 125 but the tank will need to establish a large and healthy pod population first, what kind of mandarin are you thinking?
