The ghost eel or white ribbon eel, is quite a challenging species to get eating. May I ask if you have considered a snowflake? That is in my mind a better option asnit is lower stress, beatiful and could still fit in the 75 gallon range.

If @Goaway is around she would be the best.

For this eel you’d be best served with small PVC pipes in the sand bed of your tank. I used to use the 45 degree turns as entrances and exits. You want them longer then the eel and probably 3/4” to 1”.

The issue with these eels is they may not eat dead food or at least need to be trained on to it. A good way to start these eels is on ghost shrimp, mollies, and/or guppies.

Once eating dead a mixed diet of silversides, shrimp, salmon etc is best.

A ghost ribbon eel correct? I would go for the 90 gallon, they are long 😂 and as far as food this is the easiest eel Ive ever kept! It ate anything including pellets. Make sure its the white ribbon eel not the other two, those are hard.

all ribbon eels should be given 5' tank. I wouldnt recommend any thing smaller. The longer, and wider, the better.
