No, they non-photosynthetic so have to be fed.

Ok i got it last week end didnt no what it was so pulled it off zoa plug and glued to a shell and its in sump . But seems ok fa now

See what you mean i live about 2 min walk from the beach . Wish i lived somewhere warm . Id of let it life the rest of its life there because after reading up on it there isnt much hope for it . But i will try my best for the little guy
