What LPS like alot of light. I want to add some stuff to the top of my reef but it sits about 6 inches below a 150w MH. I was originally going to keep SPS but I have since changed my mind and I am going to stick with LPS, Zoas, and Softies. This makes the top of my reef right now empty....

I'm sure you can get most LPS to do fine up there if you move them up slowly. I have some blastos that are higher up in my tank. I have some trumpet corals too that dont seem to mind being up high.

+1 i think there are a lot that can handle it. like pwoller said just move them up very slowly.
you could also try frogspawn etc. ive seen them very high in tanks and they are fine...

It depends on the flavor. I have some neon candy canes that looked terrible under MH, i put them into my frag tank with low lighting (off to the side) and they doubled in size, and the color exploded. Different flavors like different conditions. You have to play around with placement, just like flow.
