High Tech 80x80x110 Reef Tank

Hi all,

My name is Roel and I'm from the Netherlands.... I'm 33 years old and bought myself a new reef tank a couple of months ago!

I'm a little bit of a control freak so that is also the reason why I called this thread the High Tech reef tank because its going to be as much automated as I can.

I a big fan of Neptune Systems and so thats why I dedicated the theme to Neptune

Enough talking.... let me post some pictures with the progress of the Reef Tank so far. The tank is still in progress and currently busy with the build of the scape... that was a mind cracker because of the size of the tank haha!

First of all I bought the tank:

When the tank was installed it was time to get me some equitment.

This is my last purchse... I think it would be nice to get me some custom made acrylic to do some customization.

Here you see the sump space before and after:

I was realy liking the acrylic so I went designing stuff within photoshop to get laser cutted, so created a custom sump. (Also wrapped the BBK with vinyl to a orange color.

Also removed the acrylic paint from the read window and used vinyl to get it smooth.

Now I'm working on a customized control panel that is going to be installed in the sump. It will work together with Alexa and Apex fusion. Its a sealing controlled motor that will show the control panel when I give the command to Alexa. There is going to be a surface installed in the center and some led switches on the sides.

Here is a little sneak preview on the scape I'm building.

Almost forgetting that I installed a Foscam R4 in the sump space to monitor the equiment when needed.

Just finisht the plumbing with the flow sensors. Could not find any orange PVC in the EU so I used Vinyl to wrap the piping. (Will create some better pictures in daytime)

I also orderd some smart glass to control the view of the sump space. When I want to see the sump space I will tell Alexa to turn on sump view and when the sump is dirty or I don't want to see it that day I tell Alexa to turn of the sump view!

Thanks!! I used acid-free kit for the parts within the sump. For everything outside the sump I used special acrylic glue or also the acid-free kit. For the acrylic parts that are glued to other acrylic I used a acrylic glue.

Currently working on my Neptune Systems Logo and some frag holders that are going to be cut with fluor acrylic. Already made some samples.
