I suspected something was up with my tank. Sps I transferred over the new tank aren't doing well. I've been battling issues with pale to brown and stn with sps. Mainly acropora, montipora seems fine. The new system has been running a little over a month, I used the same rock but new sand. Besides the chiller and lights, all equipment are new. Tank is a Red Sea 350, all pvc plumbing besides the flex line that runs to the chiller and from return. I don't use any metal clamps, there's no rust on anything that I've noticed. No clue on what can cause my levels to be so high. Any suggestions on bringing Tin/Li down?

So I think the first thing people aren't gonna ask is:

List all equipment. Everything and what salt/additives do you use.

Good luck

Any luck with the tin situation? I’m having a similar issue and haven’t been able to determine the source. Tin 40ug/l is my level.

Water changes is your best bet if you cannot figure out the cause. I had the same levels as you. Now, mine is down to nearly undetectable. None of the media’s on the market will do anything to help with Tin, I’ve tried them all. but I think using Panta Lith with triton detox has helped.
