Had a very slow leak ( a drop every 60 sec.) on a fitting that connected to my OceansMotions.
Zip-tied a small funnel underneath it an directed it back to the sump with a length of tubing attached to the funnel .
Cant see it from where I sit to view my tank.

lol don't have a pic of it anymore but I wasn't getting enough pressure in my water lines at the new house for my rodi... so I rigged it up to my fridge then use the water dispenser to very slowly fill 5 gallon buckets... issue was the hose wouldn't attach to the dispenser so I got a paper cup, poked a hole in the side and stuck a screw in next to the button to keep it on. the water flowed into the cup, then (after a lot of tweeking) came out of the hole with enough pressure to flow out about a foot before it fell down into the bucket lol. managed to make about 25 gallons of water this way before the solenoid blew for the dispenser lol

I cant believe you didnt show that off to me when I was over visiting.

I think my best DIY was a carbon filter I made for my grow out system years ago. It was 4" ABS with a cap and then a screw on lid . I tapped a couple 1/4" quick connects. In Seattle we have great water. Mine ranges from 25 in late summer to 35 during the sprin g snow run off. My carbon filter gave me 0 TDS for months without any waste water.
