Hogfish

A couple weeks ago we purchased a hogfish since then I've noticed all my crabs and snails have vanished and my tank is now getting kinda gross. After doing some reading (which probably should have been done before we bought the fish) I have found out the eat snails and crabs. So how can I keep a clean up crew with this fIsh in my tank or should I just return him? Also my cleaner shrimp dissapeared would he have ate him?

I forgot to add do hogfish bother corals my Xenia has not been happy lately either and this all started happening at the time he got put no the tank.

Hogfish don't bother corals, but motile inverts are definitely on the menu. Maybe larger brittle or serpent stars, but even those aren't completely safe from a hogfish. However, it is possible to keep a clean tank without a cuc, throygh other means of filtration.
