Alright I've been all over the place with honeymoon ideas but ice narrowed it down! Alright I am looking at the area of St. Lucia, St Bartts, St. Kitts. Has anyone had experience in these areas? Let me know your experience! We want to dive, snorkel, fish, and then also be able to explore the island for waterfalls or stuff like that. Thanks!

Now I would love that but my fiancé isn't the best swimmer so that's why we want more options other than snorkeling. Ha if it were me id be in the water all day!

Went to St. Barts on my honeymoon 20 years ago. Didn't do any diving, but none the less it was an incredible experience. DO NO SKIMP ON ANYTHING. IMO twenty years ago the cost of having an incredible time on the island was just about $1,000 a day. At this price point your accomodations, food, wine and activities wit leave you with he greatest of memories.

Good to know!

Ya I'm planning on spending some money lol. I don't want to miss out on a single thing!

Late crowd have any suggestions on honeymoon experiences

St lucia, St Bartts, St Kitts, or anything else like that.

Have you ever thought about a cruise? When the wife and got married we looked at many of the same places, but the places she wanted to stay were around 2500 a person plus flight, we went on a 7 day cruise with all the excursions and airfare for both of us it was just under 3 grand and we dove at all of the stops, the only drawback is you only stay at the ports for 8-12 hours, I mean its just a thought that way you can get a taste of several places.

I know we are wanting to stay away from a cruise. I'm going to start checking out the places I mentioned tonight

Best place I ever stayed was the El Conquistador Resort in Fajardo, Puerto Rico about 6-7 years ago.

The resort was ineradicable, tuns of pools for when you want that, great food, private island with great beaches, and there is a reef that I totally loved. This is way before I started my first tank in this hobby, so I had no idea exactly how cool it was at the time. The resort is very private and is about an hour shuttle ride from the airport. It is very close to the rain forest which you have to go and see. The golden door spa is also amazing!

The resort has a lot of options so check it out and know that while you are going to be spending some cash there it is well worth it. Also I strongly recommend renting a car for a day near the beginning of your stay, go check out the rain forest, and on your way back find a supermarket and buy some snacks, drinks, and other supplies, as it can be painful paying for every drink you want during the day at the resort. Old San Juan is also worth a day, plenty or fun things to do there, and then you can retreat back to the resort.

The other thing to consider are the flights, getting to Puerto Rico is fast and relatively cheap, and a huge reason why we have not made it to the islands you mentioned. I want to go some day but I am going back to the El Conquistador before that.

Tahiti we stayed in the over water bungalos we had a 2 foot window in the floor reef fish were swimming under us all the time.......all inclusive.....lots to see on the islands...so much fun

There are way to many options! I'm gonna need to go to a travel agent

Just went to St. Lucia for our 25th anniversary. It was the best of the Caribbean we have seen. On our 20th we went on a cruise of the Carib. and felt St. Lucia simply blew away all of the places we have seen. We stayed at a Sandals all inclusive and have no regrets.
