How big does tyree neon green toadstool get? Are they easy to keep?

Sarcophyton sp. can reach up to 1-2 feet, even in captivity. Keep in mind that they can be "trimmed" very easily (cuttings can be sold, traded, given away). This is facilitated, if the rock they are on can be removed from the aquarium easily.

Sarcophyton sp. are generally considered "easy to keep." The Tyree-branded version has been in captivity for quite some time. Thus, it has a track record of being well-suited to life in aquaria.

I used to have a bunch of these from before they were a Tyree LE. Got mine from Cris at Rocky mountain reef club around 2002. Mine never got much bigger than 4 or 5 inches and dropped lots of frags off the edges spontaneously. There's probably more than one variety and they might vary with tank conditions, so who knows.
