How Clean Should Sand Be?

Hi everyone, I'm starting up a new tank and I decided to use a very fine-grained sand. I washed the sand from the bag about 10 times, and put it into the tank. When I fill up the tank without disturbing the sand, the water stays clear. However, whenever I kick up sand, the tank turns cloudy. Does this mean that the sand needs to be washed more or that it is just taking time for the small particles to fall back to the bottom?

That’s normal, fine sand will always make the water a bit cloudy.
