How deadly is an anemone?

Exactly how potent or deadly is an anemone? Say a fish (other than clown) brushes up against it while swimming by would it kill the fish? This hasn't happened, I am just wondering what kind of a punch nem's pack.

thats the whole point of the anemones sting. defense and catching food, aka your favorite fish in the tank

If a fish brushes up against the tentecals,it will be find,minor sting,but thats it,unless its a carpet anemone,more of a chance it will get eaten,but they will be fine,its not gonna kill them unless the anemone got them good!

Usually your fish will be fine with a BTA unless that fish is sick or weak somehow. The worst offenders are Pizza Carpets, carpets in general will get all of your "percher" type fish eventually
