How do you fit a Tunze Comline 9001 in a Waterbox 20?

Hey everyone! How did you fit the Tunze Comline 9001 in the second chamber of the WB 20 without plugging the 3rd chamber inlet?

To use the magnet setup they provided you would have to plug the inlet to the third chamber to drop the skimmer down to the recommended water level. I tried to install the magnet around the inlet but it was not strong enough to hold it (even tried doubling up). I tried to put a loose magnet in the skimmer itself to hold via the side to the back wall but that’s just not going to work.

Strange that this is a WB endorsed skimmer that doesn’t fit. Please share your success. Thanks

I actually bought an Intank chamber 2 media basket and took out the top 2 trays and used it as my skimmer holder. it works well and i can adjust level height. It wont let me upload the photo says its too big but it works.

I had considered something like that. I think that’s the best solution

I’m envisioning an adjustable drop mount that hangs on third chamber inlet wall that connects to the rubber grommets used to mount the magnet

A (crude) device of my own creation- make a hanger out of acrylic and use that to attach the magnets on. Fully adjustable via magnet depth, hangs into the second chamber
