I have done 2Dkh with no issues all at once. YMMV. LPS don't seem to care but they do appreciate alk.
Ok thanks!.. I'm also wondering... not sure if you know the answer but I had 2 hammers die recently from brown jelly I pitched it before it spread to my other corals.. do you know what could've been the issue?

Brown jelly is debatable. I can say that grumpy euphillia are a bellwether for low alk.

What salt do you use? im thinking if changing salts.. I don't like that the salt in this bucket raises the alk to 10.
Instant Ocean when I mix but I also have access to natural sea water which I use. I boost alk and magnesium in the nsw to make it ~7.5-8.0 dkh and Mg at 1300 or so, Calcium is 400.

I have a calcium reactor to add Alk & Ca in almost equal amounts that controls the tank levels. I do 5-10 gallons water changes with NSW adjusted to match my tank alk,

Ok. My nitrate are currently at 50 somehow. Maybe doing 2 water changes will get that down and raise the alk. killing 2 birds with 1 stone I think is best option right now.

80 ish tank and 40 sump. Skimmer and live rock with Metal halide lights and the calcium reactor and a gravity feed top off. Simple and fairly self sufficient because I don’t like to do anything with it much anymore.

My alkalinity is 6.1 right now… My corals have been suffering everytime I did a water change.. finally found out the Red Sea salt I used is 10 Alkalinity and everytime I did a water change there would be huge Alkalinity swings. Was wondering what’s the best way to slowly raise it up close to 10? Thanks.
I've been raising mine using All For Reef at a lower daily dose than recommended. It's climbing up slowly as it should.

I did buy all for reef recently I used it for a few days it hasn't raised my alk at all.
The key is to up your dosage slowly and if say 10ml a day isn't getting you there then bump to 15ml a day and test at 4 days and so on until you reach utopia.
