How fast do pincushion urchins grow?

Hey everyone. There is no issues but I’m just wondering how fast pincushion urchins grow! I got mine over two weeks ago and he’s made himself at home. But looking back at pictures it seems like he’s grown some! Also he’s picked up all my hermit crab’s extra shells :)

Also you can tell by the pictures he’s been great in controlling my algae issues! Btw is there anything that eats cyano? It’s been coating the sand recently.

That’s interesting, because I actually have noticed an increase in size since I got him. He’s been feasting on algae like crazy!

could be due to the amount of food it has available. my tank was fairly clean. film algae(glass) was the only thing i had to really keep up with.

Both of mine nearly doubled in size within about 6 months. They're about the size of a golf ball currently.
