Forgot to mention that even at the higher reported relative humidity levels on 8/14, the conditions were calm with no rain... When it is raining, you can see 100% relative humidity.

If you look at that chart, the relative humidty was 92% at 70.9-72 degrees. But when the temperature reached a high of 92.3 degrees the humidity dropped to 48%-52%. They go hand in hand, if you scroll the chart you can watch the humidity go back up as the temperature drops. Yeah humidity gets that high even 100%, but relative humidity will never get that high once dry bulb temps are into the 90's. Like i said you couldn't survive. I wasn't trying to to start anything, its just something i work with so i ended up posting it as an interesting tidbit because alot of people never heard of it. You can check out the properties and correlations on a psychometrics chart. You can even figure out how many gallons of water you have floating around in the air in your house. Once you know that, you can figure out how much of your electric bill goes towards dehumidifying your house when you turn on your AC.

Ahh. I wasn't trying to start anything, either, just qualify my statements. I though you were saying that you can't have 85% humidity.

Good point on the amount of money spent on dehumidifying from extra water in the air. I know the lights add heat to the room, too, but the AC shuts off more often when I don't run the lights for several days. I may have justification to the wife for a dehumidifier:).

Sorry for the hijack, Perry.
