How important is manufacturer water level for skimmer?

Plexiglass and a good neutral clear silicon would be a cheap way of raising the water level in the sump.

Would I put the plexiglass on the bottom or top of the inserts?

I have the Curve 5 as well and I bought baffles for the sump not realizing it said 6” baffle height. What’s a cheap way to raise the height ? I will mention that I haven’t put the baffles in yet

I built a stand out of PVC, an egg crate lighting panel, and long zip ties.

Depend upon if you want to raise or lower the water. If you want to lower the water level, you can use plexiglass or an egg crate to build a stand for the Skimmer to sit on making the height level of the Skimmer Pump more shallow.

I guess I don’t know what kind of sump you have. If baffles are installed, you can shut themWhich should increase the water level in the chamber. If not, you can add plexiglass to the top of the chamber wall to make it deeper.
