I’ve tried to keep two green bubble tips in a 14 gallon biocube and both ended up dying even though the parameters were perfect for them to survive so it put me off them for a little while, but recently got a new tank along with what I’m assuming is a stronger light and I’m now going on 3 weeks with the new bubble tip and looks alright to me so far just wanted to see if y’all thought the same. Let me know if there’s anything suspicious about it!

Can’t see the video?

Is this the nem staying in one place ?
Is it expanding when the light is on ?
Is it shrinking down to very small at times ?

Nems move around if the light and current is not “perfect.”

Sitting in one spot under the light and opening up to bask in the light is a good sign.

If it basically stays semi inflated after the light goes off it is probably getting enough light

Yeah it hasn’t moved since it initially was looking for a spot when I bought it. I’ll upload a pic since the vid isn’t working.

Some nights it closes most the way when I turn off light sometimes it stays semi open

It looks ok in the picture. If it stays like that or gets bigger then it’s probably fine.

Otherwise, I like to feed mine with excess drifting fish food and not much else. Small meals are best, they usually don’t get any bluefin’s in the wild, just tiny shrimp or a larval fish and maybe a goby now and again,
Over feeding giant meals is no good.

Looks happy and healthy in that picture
