How long after feeding to wait before checking water parameters?

Yes, don't worry about the time span as long as you don't wait minutes upon minutes upon minutes. Why not check parameters before feeding? Or are you trying to monitor ammonia levels?

I always take a water sample for testing before I add anything to the tank like fish or coral food, or anything so it doesn’t affect the readings especially phosphate and nitrate if things might be floating in the sample
