It's a panorama photo from an iPhone if that matters for some reason. I think it's still just a JPG, or whatever.

It looks normal from both of my Mac's.

Yeah I see it in the first post now. had to click on it. I think my allergies to books was getting in the way.

This is actually one of my newer ones. My collection starts about 1965 or so and goes to about 1995.
My favorite book is "The Salt Water Aquarium in the Home" by Robert Straughn. I still have it and still refer to it. The Man collected and kept everything in the 50s

What books would you guys recommend for coffee table purposes? I'd like to get books that cover fish, inverts and corals. like of pictures with names, not a lot of text. mainly for guests who want to see pretty pictures.

Not long enough. Still missing the three volume series from Sprung and Delbeek. So expensive.

vol 1 and 2 are not too expensive used, and microcosm re-released vol.3 as an ebook....if that helps. (I don't have them yet either.)

My collection starts about 1965 or so and goes to about 1995.

Awesome! I bet there are some amazing advertisements in those! ;)

Our university library had a pretty solid collection of TFH magazines back to '68 that I binge-read up to current in 1992. ;) I have a FAMA collection that runs from around that time up to around 2000 or 2005...feels like a lot when I move it. :D

My favorite book is "The Salt Water Aquarium in the Home" by Robert Straughn. I still have it and still refer to it. The Man collected and kept everything in the 50s

I've never bumped into that one....now on the lookout! ($0.24+shipping, used on Amazon. There are versions in better condition.) :)

Somehow it escaped me until the other day that Dana Riddle put a book out a while back. That's another new one on my list.

Love the "Reef Invertebrates" book I just added to the collection.

Excellent book. :)

That "Clownfishes" book is one I'd love to have. It's good from cover-to-cover, but most-notably it has the best Clarkii picture ever.

As I recall, the Clarkii looks something like this::eek:

I kid, of course, but only a little.

I wondered how clownfish were able to so-frequently draw blood when they bite until I saw their Clarkii photo. They draw blood because they can.

That thick, blue "Atlas Of Fishes" you see dead-center of my collection has to be one of the best for fish:

Dr. Burgess' Atlas of Marine Aquarium

(new cover)
ISBN: 9780793805754

It's pretty comprehensive, and large enough format to be coffee-table worthy. No idea if it's in print, but it's on Amazon.

"Corals of the World", which you see next to the Atlas is the other of my favorites. It's a bit too nice for the coffee table, however. ;)

I believe Paul Humann has some books that might be ranked up here, but I haven't seen them first hand.

I have half a dozen that i NEVER look at.

Never read even once, or never re-read??

A full four shelves, but I have some terrarium and freshwater stuff on there too. The only thing remotely new is Coral and Amazonas magazine.
