How long will discosoma survive in the dark?

After my tank decided to leak I had to set up a temporary tank for my fish and coral. My tank was starting to get taken over by some dicosoma mushrooms so I put most of my live rock in a dark brute trash can and it’s been in my garage for a few days. The rock is sitting in water with a pump but no heater. Water temp stays about 80f since it’s in the garage.

I’m actually hoping that this will help remove the mushrooms. New tank is supposed to arrive in about 2 weeks. Would that be enough time to get them off?

Maybe some will fade or fall off but there will likely be some that persist, after 2 weeks if the temperature and oxygen levels are good enough to sustain life.
